Destiny Wells, Attorney General

OUR ENDORSEMENT

Qualifications: Wells earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Indiana University in 2006 and a juris doctor (law) degree from the University of Texas in 2011. Along the way, she enlisted in the Army National Guard at age 19. She is currently a lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Army Reserve. As a military intelligence officer, she has witnessed how democracies work – and don’t work – across the world. She was deployed for a year in Afghanistan.

Public service: Wells has worked as an attorney at both the city and state levels, serving first as associate corporation counsel for the City of Indianapolis and Marion County, and then as deputy attorney general for the State of Indiana. Her military service spans more than 20 years.

Responsiveness and pragmatism: Wells has committed to refocusing the office of attorney general on the priorities of Hoosiers instead of the narrow political agenda that has preoccupied the current attorney general’s time and budget.

Commitment to bipartisanship: Wells understands that the mission of the attorney general is to serve the interests of all Hoosiers rather than selfish partisan ambitions.

The ReCenter Indiana PAC wholeheartedly supports Destiny Wells and is confident she will be a restorative attorney general who will work tirelessly to uphold the law and advocate for the rights of every citizen. Let’s come together to support her campaign to restore integrity to the office of attorney general.

The ReCenter Indiana PAC enthusiastically endorses Destiny Wells for attorney general of Indiana. Wells embodies the values of integrity, dedication, and service essential for this critical role. With her extensive legal and military background and her commitment to the rule of law, she is uniquely qualified to serve and protect the interests of all Hoosiers.

Wells’s career is marked by her unwavering dedication to public service and her ability to bring people together to solve complex issues. As an officer in the U.S. Army Reserve, she has demonstrated leadership, resourcefulness, and resilience, qualities that will serve her well as attorney general. Her priorities – safeguarding medical privacy, protecting workers’ rights, and restoring integrity to the office of attorney general – are exactly what Indiana needs.
