Evansville mayor: primary election 2023

ReCenter Indiana endorses Natalie Rascher in Republican primary for Evansville mayor.

OUR ENDORSEMENT

ReCenter Indiana interviewed both Republican candidates for mayor. As an important urban center of the state, Evansville deserves forward-thinking, inclusive leadership. We believe that Rascher's collaborative approach will best serve all of the residents of Evansville, and we endorse her candidacy in the Republican primary for mayor.

You can see our video interviews with the two Republican candidates on the page below.

ReCenter Indiana will be evaluating the Democratic and Libertarian candidates this summer. We will make a further endorsement for the general election in November.

We invited both Republican candidates for Evansville mayor for virtual interviews, allowing candidates to respond to the same questions spanning a variety of topics related to the office.

  • Natalie Rascher was interviewed on Apr. 3.

  • Cheryl Musgrave was interviewed on Apr. 5.

We research the races and our selection committee decides on which ones to weigh in on.

Candidates for public office are asking you to hire them. We ask them questions to help you decide whether to give them the job.

We weigh their answers, along with their public record, to find the best fit for us and the majority of Hoosiers.

We recommend a candidate based on our evaluation. Who gets elected, of course, is up to the people who vote.
